Dan Egan — President
Dan Egan is a senior logistics executive with more than 35 years of experience in freight transportation, with deep specialization in temperature-controlled and cold chain logistics. He spent the bulk of his career with industry leaders C.H. Robinson, Exel Transportation Services, Swift Transportation, and MODE Transportation, building expertise in operations, pricing, carrier development, and client management across every major mode of freight. That foundation gave him a close understanding of the unique pressures small and mid-sized food and beverage shippers face when trying to access the same level of cold chain reliability as much larger companies.
Today, as an Authorized Agent of J.B. Hunt, Dan is focused on solving that problem directly. He has built a nationally recognized temperature-controlled LTL network spanning more than 100 regional carriers across the frozen, refrigerated, and temperature-controlled segments, giving growing food and beverage shippers consistent, high-performance cold chain service without the overhead or rigidity of working with larger, less specialized carriers. He brings the same operational discipline and network-building expertise that has defined his career to ensure every shipment, regardless of size, gets enterprise-level reliability and compliance.
A recognized innovator in the cold chain industry — named a 2021 Rock Star of the Supply Chain by Food Logistics Magazine — Dan is also the author of the authoritative State of the Temp-Controlled LTL Industry Survey, published in January 2026. The survey examines the pressures reshaping cold chain logistics, including rising cost pressures on capacity and the growing demands placed on smaller shippers, and advocates for a more collaborative model where carriers and customers work as strategic partners. Dan’s work reflects his belief that food and beverage shippers of any size deserve a transportation partner invested in the safety, resilience, and transparency of their cold chain.
Dan is a proud alumnus of Iowa State University, earning a Transportation and Logistics degree from the Ivy College of Business.
Jake Badovinac — Director of Business Development
Jake Badovinac is a logistics sales and business development professional with nearly a decade of experience spanning freight brokerage, LTL operations, and supply chain program development. He built his foundation in account management at Medallion Transport & Logistics before joining Yellow, where he rose from Account Executive to Sales Performance Manager for the Eastern Division, developing a strong command of LTL freight, customer relationships, and team-level sales coaching that now informs how he builds reliable freight programs for shippers of every size.
From there, Jake led program development at BluePrint Supply Chain and most recently served as Domestic Sales Manager at R+L Global Logistics, where he built and managed complex freight programs for a national customer base. That range, spanning asset-based carriers, third-party logistics, and supply chain consulting, gives him a well-rounded view of the challenges food and beverage shippers face — and a particular appreciation for the gap that small and mid-sized shippers often experience when trying to access dependable temperature-controlled service.
Now partnered with Dan Egan, Jake brings his sales acumen and operational know-how to TVG’s growing cold chain and multi-modal portfolio, with a focus on helping small and mid-size food and beverage shippers get the consistent, temperature-controlled service they need to grow. As a graduate of Missouri Southern State University and a Factor 8 certified executive coach, Jake is also passionate about developing the next generation of logistics talent and building lasting strategic customer partnerships.
